Ian Stewart is a businessman and experienced project manager with 15 years’ experience in international executive, strategic and operational roles in the commercial and government sectors.
After a career in the Australian military, police and government, which included deployments in Timor-Leste, Iraq and Afghanistan, Ian moved to the private sector where he managed complex projects in challenging environments, most notably at the Toll Group. From 2012 – 2015, Ian was general manager of Paladin and was responsible for implementing a strategy that has seen a growth trajectory taking the business from 50 staff to more than 4,500 staff and contractors operating in five different countries in the Asia-Pacific region. He is now a director of a series of businesses, including Paladin, that specialise in logistics, camp and security-related services across the Asia-Pacific region. These businesses are industry leaders in applying a model of community engagement and empowerment, so as to leave a positive legacy in areas that they work in.
Ian’s strong values ensure that he has a proven track record of ethical and respectful engagement with stakeholders in all projects that he has undertaken.
