Paladin has held a school activities day as part of its growing community engagement program in and around the Lorengau area of Manus Island. Over fifty students and their teachers from the Rossun SDA Primary School enjoyed an action-packed day of sports and board games, which was topped off with a special BBQ lunch.
Paladin and Peren’s community team introduced several new sports to the eager students such as ultimate frisbee, badminton and cricket, while more familiar sports such as touch rugby and soccer were also played. Later in the day, students were presented with a series of board games to be used as an engaging way of developing cognitive skills.
The schools were also given important resources and books to aid them in delivering their curriculum.
The different activities were designed to teach new skills, increase gender inclusivity and encourage students to practice their mathematics and arithmetic skills and have fun!
This is another great example of Paladin Group’s commitment to support and transfer skills and knowledge to the communities in which we serve.
