This month’s Community Engagement began with a feel-good initiative at Lorengau base hospital with Paladin and NKW supporting Pacific International Hospitals (PIH) and Laila Foundation ‘Gifts for Sight’ clinic. With almost 100 free of charge cataract surgeries being completed it was a huge effort from Dr Amnya Sultan and her team and a great example of how stakeholders can work together to make a lasting difference to the community’s health. Paladin’s Community Team were able to get to the hospital to support the patients and get some pictures of the amazing work being done by the Laila Foundation Clinic.
Paladin was proud to support such a worthy initiative. Paladin’s National Manager – Community Engagement had this to say about the day, “Paladin’s support of the Laila Foundation is another example of how we help the communities in the areas where we operate. The heroes of the day were Dr Amnya Sultan and her amazing team. The great work they did was truly impressive.”
Paladin’s community engagement program, in partnership with Peren Investments, will continue to support research based, community-led, sustainable solutions.
